Why licensees choose Viridis
-
Water quality depth. Our auditors are water quality specialists first, with over 20 years each in drinking water and recycled water risk management.
-
We know the regulator's expectations. We work to IPART's WIC Act Audit Guidelines (July 2025) and recognised standards such as ASAE 3000, ASAE 3100 and ISO 19011, and have delivered IPART operational audits multiple times for all of the public water utilities.
-
Prior WIC Act experience. We have audited multiple schemes including recycled water and drinking water networks.
-
Liaise with IPART. We prepare the audit proposal for IPART approval, keep to IPART's report format, and grade findings consistently with the guideline.
-
Useful findings. Clear compliance grades plus practical improvements your operations team can act on.
Changing auditors?
Under IPART's "3 in 5 rule", the same auditor should not conduct more than 3 of every 5 compliance audits for a licensee. If your current auditor has reached that limit, contact us early so we can plan around your next audit.
What we audit
-
Compliance audits. Your compliance with the WIC Act, the WIC Regulation, and your licence and approval conditions, against the scope IPART sets.
-
Application audits for new operational approvals and variations:
-
Pre-operation audits of drinking water and recycled water quality management systems, against the 12 elements of the ADWG and AGWR frameworks.
-
Pre-operation audits of asset management plans and systems.
-
New infrastructure audits, confirming the infrastructure was built as approved, is fit for purpose and can operate safely and reliably.
-
-
Contingency plan audits. Testing the adequacy and currency of your contingency plan as an IPART-approved technical expert.
-
Contingency plan preparation. Technical expert support to prepare your plan. Under IPART's rules, a technical expert who helps prepare a plan can't audit it for two years, so we'll advise which role suits you best.
